I’m a big fan of double cleansing for all skin types, but especially for acne-prone skin.
STEP 1 – I like to use an oil cleanser for acne. Corum Barrier Repair Oil Cleanser, made with fruit oils, is a great non-comedogenic option for washing acne-prone skin. Oil-based cleansers are highly effective at dissolving makeup, sebum, and sunscreen, making them the ideal choice for removing these impurities from the skin without over-drying or altering the skin’s pH. Use this easy-rinse oil cleanser to gently massage the skin.
STEP 2 – After using an oil cleanser, I follow up with a no-rinse aloe-based cleanser and toner. This step helps remove invisible pollutants and other debris that can disrupt the skin’s natural microbiome. It gently exfoliates the outer layer of dead skin cells while leaving behind hydrating ingredients to support the skin barrier throughout the day or night. Corum Superfruit Hydrating Cleanser also contains Aspen bark extract to combat acne-causing bacteria. I use this hydrating cleanser for acne in the morning and evening for just the right amount of daily exfoliation.
Our hydrating cleanser is perfect for quickly removing sweat after exercise to prevent breakouts. It is particularly effective at preventing maskne – the breakouts that can occur from wearing a face mask. Since it doesn’t require rinsing, it’s easy to keep your skin clean and hydrated all day long.
