PRO TIPS
Less is More: Start with a small amount of powder. You can always add more, but taking away is trickier.
Tap, Don’t Swipe: Dip the sponge lightly into the powder, tapping off any excess. Gently press the clean sponge onto your skin, focusing on areas prone to shine like the T-zone (forehead, nose, and chin).
Bounce for Blended Perfection: Use a bouncing motion with the sponge to buff the powder into your skin for a seamless blend.
Targeted Setting: For areas under the eyes, use the pointed tip of the sponge or a small brush to gently press the powder and avoid disturbing your concealer.
Light Dusting: If using a dry sponge, you can dust a light layer of powder all over your face for a final setting touch.
Build Upon Need: If you need more coverage, repeat steps 1-3, focusing on areas that still need setting.
TOOL TIP:
A sponge is better than a brush for applying powder to the face because it avoids creating a dust cloud. Breathing any kind of powder is not a good idea!
Use a different sponge for setting powder than you use for foundation to avoid cross-contamination.
Wash your sponge after each use with Corum Makeup Cleaner Concentrate to prevent bacteria buildup.
This sponge works very well (paid link) to apply the powder and can be used to evenly apply foundation as well. Can be used dry or slightly damp. (To dampen, wet completely, then squeeze tightly in a towel.)
